Introduction

Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) is located in the beautiful city of Nanjing. It was established in 1960 and was designated as one of the key universities in China in 1978. The quality of its undergraduate education is highly evaluated by the Ministry of Education. The university has a complete higher education system with undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral programs as well as post-doctoral research centers.

Occupying an area of 140 hectares, NUIST now has a floor area of more than 600,000 square meters for various uses. Currently, the university has 47 undergraduate majors, 23 postgraduate majors and 13 doctoral majors. There are 25,000 students studying in the university now, including over 2,000 postgraduate and doctoral students as well as more than 100 overseas students. More than 40,000 students have so far graduated from NUIST. Many alumni have become well-known scientists, scholars and senior management staff home and abroad. Among them, there are academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Canadian Royal Academy of Sciences and the American Meteorological Society.

NUIST sticks to the guideline of internationalization and insists on the concept of "attaching importance to both moral and intellectual cultivation and combining science with humanities" to make it a key university of international influence and high quality.


Job Objective

1. English Language Teachers

Requirements: Native English speakers from US, UK, Australia, Canada etc., Bachelor's Degree or above, at least two-year experience in English language teaching in China or TEFL in China Certificate issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA); 

2. Professional English Teachers

Requirements: Native English speaker; Major in Electronics and Information Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Economic Law, Software Engineering, Business Management, Geographical Information System; Master's degree or academic title of lecturer or above.

3. English Language Teachers in affiliated Middle School and Primary School

Requirements: Native English speakers from US, UK, Australia, Canada etc., Bachelor's Degree or above, at least two-year experience in English language teaching in China or TEFL in China Certificate issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA);

Tasks:

1. For English Language Teachers 14-16 periods per week (45 min each period); Teaching subjects include English Writing, Oral English, English Reading, English and American Literature, English Society and Culture, American Society and Culture, Business English, Tourism English and so on.

2. For English Professional Teachers 8-14 periods per week depending on the subject (45min each period) and some supervising work; Teach relative professional subjects and some English courses.

3. For English Language Teachers in affiliated Middle School and Primary School 10-12 periods per week (40 min each period); Oral English
