Title: Three years and happy at David Perry, Wuhan
|
Author: Shawn Mire <shawnmire(at)yahoo.com>
Some have chosen to teach 8 hours a day, and I taught 8 hours a day once when I took over another teacher's class. But most of the time I've taught no more than 6 hours in one day, as I currently do on my busiest day, Sunday: 10-12, 2-4, and 6:40-8:30. The weekends are the busy times (as they are at most private schools), and the school has always been open about that: it's right there on their website.

Title: THE "DAVID PERRY" WUHAN EXPERIENCE
|
Author: Bruce and Beryl Dwyer <beryl_dwyer(at)hotmail.com>
For 18-22 hours teaching per week they pay ok. Except they don't tell you before you arrive that 14-15 hours of that is on the week ends. Unless you want to teach 2-4 year olds and act like Ronald McDonald using flash cards and jumping around.
One of the biggest insults was that they opened up bank accounts for teachers, but each teacher's account was with a different bank??

Title: Great school in China
|
Author: Marc Finch <marcfinch23(at)hotmail.com>
I have been teaching in the middle of China for about seven months. Though Zhongxiang does not offer much in the way of nightlife or excitement, the school I work for is excellent. The pay is ample, on time, and every need a teacher could have is met quickly. If your thinking about coming to China to teach you definitely should. You should also definitely get ahold of other teachers who reside at your prospective school and find out the score. If you want a good school check out Zhongxiang lantai middle school, its excellent, or the experimental school in Zhongxiang. Anyway, that¡¯s it.
