1. THERE IS NO CURRICULUM! The staff have to create all their own lesson plans, flash cards etc.
2. The boss of the kindergarten constantly undermines staff, she seems to believe the teaching staff are completely incompetent (they are not).
5. 1 PC is provided but is used by all the Chinese and foreign staff.
7. The advert on the internet says Chinese classes can be provided ¨C rubbish!

I have worked for them PT and had no problems¡but friends of mind have had less than good things to say on a full time basis¡..I would say on a whole the EF doesn¡¯t pay enough to warrant the work in a language mill.

The second problem that came up was every month with the salary package to begin with on the internet I was told that I would be getting 4500 then when I arrived I got 4000 only 500 rmb but when I tried to bring it up with them they denied all knowledge. The main problem with the contract before I arrived and after I arrived is that another girl had been speaking to me online who was living in another town and was notreally part of the company so any promises that she told us were complete lies.

My apartment has several features; the smell of sewer gasses year round, mosquitos and ants in the summer, freezing cold in the winter and a broken window in my bedroom just to name a few. I have complained about the broken window several times. The company has made 6 promises to fix it but have not successfully done so.
They tried to get out of paying overtime, arguing that although my contract says anything over 22 hours per week is overtime, it really means anything over 88 hours per month is overtime.

All the teachers are hired by a women named Teresa, but she does not exist. You are shown several pictures of beautiful apartments, promised reimbursements, and salaries that aren¡¯t lived up to. They just lie to get you there! Moreover, you¡¯re treated like a slave while under their control. They will take your passport and not let you leave and sometimes harass you about your activities in your personal life.

Changchun has some really bad schools - (they are famous across China for being so bad - and have been taken to court in Canada). Simon's language school is also a disgrace - they are known to steal passports. The lowest of the low is Tianshuo - a corrupt and evil little recruiting agency. Tianyuan is not evil - just incompetant. Don't believe the 7 weeks holiday at Baidawei either - teachers have to teach double hours to earn this. It's a good school otherwise but the pay is low.

get hospital cover from your school in case you get sick
make sure your embassy know your in china
if you don¡¯t get your salary on time thalk to your school they are good
only work for a school direct do not work for a company
before you come to china do your homework and you will be ok
if you have to pay rent do not get your boss to pay he got you here
when you come to china you should require little money as every thing is free if not cheap
if you go to the xpat bars you will pay at least 3dollars a small beer
