I came to Chongqing China referred by a school. Lets say its name starts with P and rhymes with ENERGY. After researching for 3 months I figured that a referral would be good. After all, the teacher of the school, son is working for the company, sit couldn't be all that bad. Well was I in for a shocker. The company showed pictures of the apartments to us in Vancouver, when we arrived I have no idea where the pictures came from but I did know it was not our apartment… lie number one.. And then they continued. Anyway, the company told us "because we are now in China, that rules we know don't apply, not even for them to abide by their own contract… but here is the kicker… WE HAVE TO, that is abide by the contract…. Anyway, within 2 months of me being here, 3 quit because of contract breach and now I was to go…they decided to use me as an example after all there were 7 more foreign instructors that were angry because of all what was happening. Who knows whats happening here, all I know what a disappointment as I was hoping for a nice experience and got a bad one… hope you all read one of the stories about China and how they all live by lies… it is so true.
