| Beware of Foshan experimental primary school...it's on Kuiqi Lu, in the south of Foshan I worked there for 12 months and at first it seemed like an OK place to work. but as time went on things gradually started to turn for the worst. Here are some reason [not all] why I advise you not to work for them:- They did not provide the Legal Z visa as promised in the contract. They did not provide teaching materials as promised in the contract. They did not give me any money for flights. Every month I had to chase people to sign papers and argue about my salary. and every month they told me to 'come back tomorrow'...as far as I an concerned its their job to pay me the correct amount on the correct day. Contract was for 12 months but they still haven't paid me for the last 2 months. They argued about overtime payments, medical payments and other bonuses, even though it was very clear from the contract what they should pay. I showed the movie 'shrek' and they accused me of showing pornography They promised me an English speaking assistant. never happened [even after several requests] You make an appointment to see the headmaster and then she hides and lies and pretends to be in meetings, just to avoid having to deal with problems. Every time i did actually manage to pin down the headmaster and make a complaint, she simply turned everything around and made it all seem like my fault. And finally...they have an 'oh you don't know because you are just a foreigner' attitude ----------------------------------------------------- I have worked as an ESL teacher for 3 years in 2 different countries, and I can safely say that this school is the worst, that I have every worked for...do yourself a favour and avoid it!
