| The positives about Joy | ||
| Honestly, the person who has posted the comments about Joy being a bad place to work really has a horrible opinion. Joy is known as one of the best places for work in Harbin. With up to 6 different locations located throughout Harbin, it offers many opportunities to work within any of those locations. So far, they have been over the top with everything. Paydays, residence setup, monthly bonuses, and a total of 20 hours a week. If you are working over 20 hours, you are compensated by how much it says in your contract. As any normal person would do, they would go to the person in charge of payroll, and submit there hours of the week. if you do not record them, you have nothing to argue about. It is up to you. So far, myself and 15 other teachers who are currently working at Joy have had
absolutely no problems whatsoever. To the person who posted the nasty notes about Joy should realize this isn't home, it's China. We don't have house insurance, or security like our home towns. If I break a nail, should I complain to the company about compensation? no. No where in the contract does it say it is the companies fault if something goes missing. If you are smart, you would open a Chinese bank account, which the school sets up for you for free...actually, they recommend it. I don't know about you, but I don't think id trust a full paycheck worth in cash, just sitting around my apartment. That's what banks are for. China isn't the safest place for personal items. I'm sure many foreigners have had there things stolen from them off the streets without even them knowing it. Who do you complain to then? you expect the Chinese government to step up and say " well....with all these other problems, lets just be super nice to the foreigners and help them out. Forget about the major problems that go on around the city. In the end, all I have to say that the note was totally written in anger because someone didn't have an OK time, or a good enough experience. This not just coming from 1 teacher, but more then 10. It was funny when we read that comment. Everyone single teacher busted out laughing, saying the exact same thing. China isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you can get yourself settled and enjoy how life is, and be SAFE, then your stay here will be perfect and enjoyable. And Joy, totally helps us along with that. Taking care of everything we need, never pulling us around by the hair. I totally recommend Joy as a place to work and experience. The people, the children, and experience, is all worth it. Send Message to Author |
