That means that the quality of the school tends to vary widely as you move from school to school. I have heard people recommend a few good EF′s, but with so many other schools out there, many of whom have established reputations as being trustworthy, why would you want to limit yourself to just English First schools? In my years in China I′ve encountered dozens if not hundreds of people who had worked for EF at one time. Of that body, I′ve heard precisely one person with a kindly word for EF…and I think that was someone on Nate′s excellent site. Your mileage may vary, but overall the chain English mills really suck.
