This is more of a clarification then anything else. EF English First in Suzhou is an exceptionally professional organisation. I have been working here for a few months now and have received nothing but the highest level of support from all the teachers as well as the local staff. This being my first teaching job in China, I don't think that I could have possibly ended up in a better place then EF, English First Suzhou, as everyone here has gone well out of their way to make me feel welcome and help me to adjust to what is an undeniably different culture. The business practices at EF, English First Suzhou, are also clean and open - deceit and mistrust being completely absent, unlike those I have come across at many other language schools.
Teachers worldwide are becoming increasingly connected through forums such as this one - they provide everyone skilled enough to use the internet with a chance to voice their opinion. So both, satisfied and unsatisfied parties can have their say. Whether this leads to a true representation of what any school or organisation is like is up to the readers of these forums to decide. However, having said that, someone who has been fired from one of these places (even if the reasons of their dismissal are fully justifiable and fair) could become slightly bitter. This could naturally lead them to trash their previous employers and the organisation they worked for on as many forums as possible. So before you make up your mind about any organisation, please be sensible, read more then just one or two reviews and remember to read between the lines - as that's where you'll find most of your answers :) |
